The Challenge
The refurbishment of the old bank Linth building in Rapperswil, where the characteristics of the façade are to be retained but with a modern touch.
Together with Stahlton AG and the contractor, the GFB elements and their thermal bridge-free substructure were determined. The special solutions in the roof edge area, the vertical pilaster strips, generally the load transfer into the subsoil, the earthquake safety as well as the ease of installation could be solved elegantly and to the complete satisfaction of all parties involved.
