The Challenge

Renovating an old building while retaining the characteristics of the façade and adding a modern touch sounds like a simple task. However, since the building site was not known from the outset and some other details turned out to be real sticking points, the implementation became a real challenge.

The Ecolite Solution

The GFB elements, including their thermal bridge-free substructure, were determined together with the Stahlton company and the contractor. The special solutions in the roof edge area and for the vertical pilaster strips, as well as the general load transfer into the subsoil, earthquake safety and ease of installation, were elegantly solved to the complete satisfaction of all parties involved.

Ecolite Products

These Ecolite products were used:

Thermo V-brackets in various versions and templates, Thermo H-brackets as earthquake protection, special brackets for the piers, single and double support profiles UB 35 as well as the corresponding profile connectors and clasps.
