just-in-time production
The approx. 1300 bulky 3D ALUCOBOND elements are difficult to transport in their formed shape without damage and in a cost-efficient way. Therefore, the pre-milled, still flat ALUCOBOND was first transported to Vuisternens-en-Ogoz in the Fribourg area before the elements were unfolded and braced. For this purpose, Ecolite AG temporarily moved into premises and produced on site with part of its workforce over a period of approx. 6 months. Thanks to short distances, production could be adapted to the respective construction progress.
