The Challenge
The client wanted a slightly translucent façade for this airy-looking building, consisting of pultruded plastic profiles.
The load-bearing capacity of the plastic profiles must be adjusted to the wind load that occurs. The ceiling cladding must be supported in such a way that any deformations that occur cannot exert any constraining stresses on the plastic profiles.
The Ecolite Solution
On the company's own test wall, the force application of the pultruded profiles is matched to the wind loads and optimised so that no unnecessary fixings are installed. The substrate has a low load-bearing capacity and requires thermal brackets with a special footing.
Omegaprofiles with notches at the profile ends and special sliding supports are developed for the constraint-free support of the ceiling cladding.
Ecolite Products
These Ecolite products were used:
Primary substructure made of Thermo H-brackets and horizontal angle profiles of system MM. System OM for ceiling cladding with special supports. Partition walls with the plastic profiles as ready-to-install frames.
