The Challenge

It had to be possible to safely install curved GFB elements weighing up to 800 kg and 5 m in length with a high degree of ease of assembly. The large curtain distance of the elements of 420 mm in some cases placed special demands on the statics, including earthquake resistance. In addition, a solution had to be found for the lamination of the vertical joint without using preassembled metal waterstops on the elements.

The Ecolite Solution

In cooperation with the supplier of the GFB elements, the agraffes and their attachment to the elements have been worked out. To support the high loads, newly developed special brackets made of stainless steel and a new, very rigid T-profile were used. To prevent the agraffes from twisting in relation to the supporting profiles, the UB double support profile was used. A special, malleable joint profile was specially developed for the joint closure.

Ecolite Products

These Ecolite products were used:

In this object, new stainless steel brackets, Thermo V sliding point brackets, the supporting profiles of the UB 35 series, a new T-profile 60x120x3 mm and a joint profile (black) adapted to the shape were used.
