The Challenge

Perforated sheet metal cassettes of different widths and depths were to be fixed to the concrete substrate with as little brackets as possible, whereby the wind paper installed between the substructure and the cladding must remain tight. The load-bearing capacity of the sheet metal cassettes was not known, nor were the statically possible spans.

The Ecolite Solution

By means of a wind load test with the original cladding on the Ecolite test wall, the possible load-bearing capacity could be tested, as well as the suspension and its strength. The required nail seal between the omega profile and the wind paper could also be checked.

Ecolite Products

These Ecolite products were used:

Alu V- and HV-brackets, the vertically arranged angle profile 45x75x2.3 mm and a new horizontally arranged omega profile (black coated) as well as a newly developed suspension bolt and plastic clip of the KA system are used.
